Radio Punctum is releasing a compilation to celebrate 10 years
In October 2025, Radio Punctum marked ten years since its first broadcast: a live episode of Altershapes, streamed via Shoutcast from an improvised studio when the show split from the now-defunct Radio Streetculture to found its own station in the emerging space of the club Punctum — Krásovka.
To celebrate, Punctum Tapes is releasing a wide-ranging compilation of music from past and present residents, friends, and collaborators. Many of the contributors remain relatively underexposed in the media, yet their work stands confidently alongside more established names. The tracklist places, for instance, Edův Syn next to an IDM cut by Sqare, an ambient miniature by Euphoria Echoes Of Inotai alongside Havířov’s grimy WZ, and LL Anna Coranić’s (Anakver, LOFN) debut solo single next to Nina Pixel — one of many deliberate pairings designed to reflect the breadth of the station’s programming.
“Sometimes I’m struck by how writing or broadcasting can trigger impulses and emotions elsewhere and at different times, without the author being present — an invisible, almost chilling reach of thoughts and emotions through technology that affects people, like a butterfly flapping its wings,” says Radio Punctum dramaturge and Punctum Tapes manager Tomáš Ferko, invoking the butterfly effect as the inspiration for the compilation’s title.
Expect everything from ambient to goregrind, ambitious experimental pop to outsider singer-songwriters, meticulous digital soundscapes to electro and gabber bangers, as well as electronic post-punk styles — all lovingly mastered by Yukimura at Mustakillah Studio.
